Special Education Associate Attorney (3-5 Years Experience) | Pittsburgh, PA- MUST HAVE ( Special Education Law & School Law experience )
Salary will be based on the candidate's experience and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Special Education Attorney to join a collaborative team serving public school districts across Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of education, policy, and advocacy-while making a direct impact on schools, students, and communities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* J.D. from an accredited law school
* Active Pennsylvania Bar license (required)
* 3-5 years of experience in education or public sector law
* Minimum 3+ years of direct Special Education law experience (IDEA, Section 504)
* Familiarity with Sunshine Act and Right to Know Law strongly preferred
* Exceptional writing, advocacy, and analytical skills
* Collaborative team player with a proactive, client-focused mindset
⚖️ You'll Counsel and Represent School Districts on:
* Special Education Law (IDEA, Section 504 compliance, IEPs, FAPE, and due process)
* Student Rights, Policies & Discipline
* School Employment & Labor Law
* Construction & Facility Planning
* Financial Solutions for Public Districts
* Collective Bargaining Negotiations
* Governance for School Boards & Administrators
* Open Records & Meetings Compliance (Sunshine Act & Right to Know Law)
