Title: CNC Programmer (Mastercam)
Location: Norfolk VA
Pay Range: 80K -$110K (DOE)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with strong experience in SolidWorks and Mastercam to support the programming and production of precision components for CNC mills and lathes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented highly proficient in CAD/CAM software and capable of working closely with machinists and engineers to ensure high-quality efficient manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop modify and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for multi-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes
• Interpret engineering drawings models and GD&T requirements
• Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
• Select appropriate tooling fixtures and machining strategies to maximize efficiency and quality
• Collaborate with machinists to troubleshoot and improve machining processes
• Perform program prove-outs and make necessary adjustments on the shop floor
• Ensure all programs meet quality standards tolerances and production timelines
• Maintain organized documentation of programs setups and revisions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cycle time tooling and process optimization

Qualifications:

• 3 years of CNC programming experience for mills and lathes
• Proficiency in Mastercam (required)
• Strong experience with SolidWorks for modeling and design
• Solid understanding of machining processes tooling and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Experience with multi-axis machining preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with complex or tight-tolerance components
• Knowledge of fixture design and process optimization
• Familiarity with shop floor setup and operation

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing/shop environment with exposure to machinery noise and metalworking processes
• Collaborative team setting with engineers machinists and production staff
