Job Description

Abbott seeks a Field Clinical Specialist for its Structural Heart division to manage clinical development programs, oversee budgets, and provide clinical expertise across cardiac procedures. The role involves coordinating multi-functional teams, conducting clinical trials, and delivering technical support to physicians and surgical staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, contracts, and financial oversight for clinical programs and cost centers
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to advance clinical program milestones and strategic objectives
• Train cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, and catheter lab staff on structural heart products
• Review imaging studies and clinical data to support patient selection and procedural planning for trials
• Serve as clinical liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in advisory board interactions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field
• 6-8 years of clinical or medical device industry experience
• Strong knowledge of cardiac hemodynamics and heart failure pathophysiology
• Proficiency with cardiac imaging analysis including CT and echocardiography
• Experience with interventional and surgical cardiac procedures
• Ability to travel up to 80% including international assignments
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
