OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE

We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact. As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.

THE TEAM

At Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, our Food & Beverage team is dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional service, craftsmanship, and genuine hospitality. As part of the Restaurant team, the Lead Sommelier partners closely with the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and Director of Food & Beverage while collaborating with restaurant leadership, culinary teams, and front-of-house associates to deliver a world-class wine program that enhances the guest experience across the property.

YOUR ROLE

As Lead Sommelier, you will play a critical role in shaping and elevating the property's wine offering. You will oversee wine procurement, inventory stewardship, wine list development, and service excellence while serving as the resident wine expert for The Mansion Restaurant. Through outstanding product knowledge, training, and collaboration, you will help drive guest satisfaction, beverage revenue, operational efficiency, and associate engagement. Your expertise will contribute directly to maintaining the exceptional standards of hospitality that define Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Curate and maintain exceptional wine programs and wine lists in partnership with the Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Deliver personalized wine recommendations, pairings, and elevated service experiences that create memorable guest moments.
  • Oversee wine inventory, purchasing, stock controls, and product movement to ensure accuracy, quality, and profitability.
  • Train and develop Food & Beverage associates in wine knowledge, pairing recommendations, upselling techniques, and service standards.
  • Build meaningful guest relationships while capturing preferences that support personalized and seamless future visits.
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to ensure wine selections complement and enhance the dining experience.
  • Monitor beverage performance, sales mix, and cost management initiatives to support financial objectives.
  • Lead wine-focused projects, tastings, special events, and supplier partnerships that keep the program innovative and relevant.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

  • You have a strong foundation in wine knowledge and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
  • You hold, or are working toward, professional wine certifications such as WSET and/or Court of Master Sommeliers credentials.
  • You bring experience within luxury hospitality, fine dining, Forbes-rated venues, or high-end restaurant environments.
  • You are highly skilled in wine inventory management, purchasing controls, forecasting, and beverage cost analysis.
  • You are comfortable using inventory, POS, and reservation management systems such as BinWise, Accubar, BevSpot, MICROS Simphony, and OpenTable.
  • You can confidently educate, coach, and inspire associates while promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • You possess strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales trends, margins, and profitability metrics.
  • You communicate effectively in English and enjoy building lasting relationships with guests, associates, and industry partners.

OUR BENEFITS

As part of our team, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard – and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them – and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
