Production Supervisor 1st Shift

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our network of local cooperatives independent dealers and other large retailers serve producers and animal owners throughout the United States. Through industry -leading R&D and committed partnerships we innovate nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier more productive life.

You will be responsible for coordinating and providing direction for the workflow and scheduling functions of a high volume fast-paced manufacturing facility. This position is also responsible for managing production personnel and executing production for multiple departments.

This is a collaborative environment. You will work with other team members to resolve production issues and employee relations and concerns.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area. Sets a leading example by supporting and adhering to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Responsible for ensuring all tasks are performed using proper SOPs/GMPs safety procedures and other regulations.
• Ensures Pre-Operation Inspections are performed before starting the Shift/work orders.
• Ensure inventory is accurate and properly maintained by following SOP and NBi. Learn St. Albans batching system WEM.
• Maintain accurate records of information such as daily receipts inspection results etc.
• Must be able to direct others in keeping with production schedules and goals.
• Monitor and update Workday time keeping as needed as well as approving time each week.
• Lead coach train direct and discipline employees.
• Partners with multiple departments toexecutedepartment orders and goals are met.

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree and 1 years leadership background OR High School degree with 3 years of leadership experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Ability to coordinate provide direction influence and coach staff.
• Ability to work with management to reach and maintain production schedules and goals.
• Communicator decision maker quality orientation technical/professional knowledge customer focus time management and oriented toward process improvement

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent Teamwork skills/ability to build positive relationships that promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
• Understanding of Manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Solid computer skills that include Microsoft Office and the ability toadapt and utilize other programs.
• Solid time management and multitasking skills.
• Solid understandingin Food safety andManufacturing processes.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure without supervision.
• Willingness to help the production team by filling in on the line when short-handed.
• Willingness to run production on Saturdays when needed.

Shift: 1st shift; 6:00 am - 3:30 pm M-F occasional weekends/holidays . Plant operates 24 hours/5 days a week; weekends as needed. This role will mainly be day shift and other shifts as necessary to keep up with business needs.

Salary Range: $70800 - $106200. In most cases candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary range.
